Ink by Ink 墨墨 è lo studio creativo di un architetto e designer nato a Hong Kong e residente a Londra, che disegna storie di città, strade e immaginari che ci plasmano.
Ogni opera nasce da una profonda fascinazione per il mondo costruito: il caos stratificato di una vetrina di Hong Kong, la densità di un paesaggio urbano asiatico, le strutture fantastiche che esistono solo nello spazio tra architettura e sogno. Formatosi come architetto e attratto dalle tradizioni pittoriche dell'arte a inchiostro dell'Asia orientale, ogni illustrazione è costruita linea dopo linea, dettaglio dopo dettaglio: una lenta accumulazione di segni che cerca di catturare non solo l'aspetto di un luogo, ma anche le sensazioni che si provano al suo interno.
L'opera si colloca a metà strada tra il disegno architettonico, la narrazione urbana e l'illustrazione fantasy, influenzata in egual misura dalla vivacità delle strade di Hong Kong e dai mondi immaginifici dei manga e dell'animazione giapponesi.

Every piece begins with a deep fascination for the built world: the layered chaos of a Hong Kong shopfront, the density of an Asian streetscape, the fantastical structures that exist only in the space between architecture and dream. Trained as an architect and drawn to the mark-making traditions of East Asian ink art, each illustration is built line by line, detail by detail — a slow accumulation of marks that tries to capture not just how a place looks, but how it feels to be inside it.
The work sits somewhere between architectural drawing, urban storytelling and fantasy illustration — influenced equally by the living texture of Hong Kong streets and the imaginative worlds of Japanese manga and animation.
