¡Hola! Soy Jeannette, diseñadora y creadora de patrones de JE Studio Patterns.
He estado rodeada de máquinas de coser, fábricas de ropa y la industria de la moda toda mi vida. Mi madre dice que mi amor por la costura y la creación comenzó antes de que pudiera caminar. Ella trabajaba desde casa como costurera profesional y mis recuerdos más felices se centran en su cuarto de costura. Pasábamos horas allí jugando entre los conos de hilo y los retazos de tela.
Nunca dejé de diseñar ni de jugar con textiles, pero la vida y el trabajo a menudo ponían en pausa mi creatividad. Incluso durante esos períodos de sequía creativa, mi alma se alimentaba de mi trabajo en la industria minorista de la moda. Tenía acceso a hermosas prendas, accesorios y diseños que se renovaban con las estaciones. Aprendí sobre textiles, confección de prendas y acabados para educar e inspirar a los grandes equipos minoristas que dirigía.
En 2021, me encontré con tiempo extra y decidí viajar. Empecé en el Báltico y trabajé hasta Grecia. Y volví inspirada. Me inscribí en la escuela de moda, desempolvé mi máquina de coser y comencé a diseñar. Así nació JE Studio Patterns. Mis diseños están conectados con las experiencias y los lugares que amo. La costura me conecta con mi madre, mi familia y mi historia, y JE Studio Patterns es la fusión de todo lo que me da alegría. Mis diseños están pensados para ser cómodos, fáciles de usar y, sobre todo, versátiles. ¡Espero que te encante hacerlos y que te acompañen en muchas aventuras!
Hi there! I’m Jeannette, designer and patternmaker behind JE Studio Patterns.
I've been around sewing machines, garment factories, and the fashion industry my whole life. My mother says my love of sewing and creating started before I could walk. She worked from home as a professional seamstress and my happiest memories are all centered around her sewing room. We’d spend hours there playing among the cones of thread and scraps of fabric.
I never really stopped designing or playing with textiles, but life and work often pressed pause on my creativity. Even during those stretches of creative drought, my soul was fed by my work in the retail fashion industry. I had access to beautiful garments, accessories, and designs that would refresh with the seasons. I learned about textiles, garment construction, and finishes to educate and inspire the large retail teams I led.
In 2021 I found myself with extra time and decided to travel. I started in the Baltic and worked my way to Greece. And, I came back inspired. I enrolled in fashion school, dusted off my sewing machine, and started designing. JE Studio Patterns was born. My designs are connected to the experiences and places I love. Sewing connects me to my mom, family, and history, and JE Studio Patterns is the fusion of all that brings me joy. My designs are meant to be comfortable, easy to wear, and above all, versatile. I hope you love making them and they join you on many adventures!
