Surface design and illustration

When I was 11 I discovered a love for sewing. Even after I managed to sew my finger in one of my first ever sewing classes, I never lost the love of what I was doing. It was fun. I created something cool at the end of it. And people liked it. It made me feel good. I love fabric and I love to draw!

My career has been adventurous and varied. I began my working life as a professional ballet dancer after training at an elite ballet school. I’ve got a degree in Information Technology and have spent many years working my way up the corporate ladder developing software. I’ve completed training in graphic design, photography and fitness. I also work as an actor, never being able to fully leave the stage behind.

Throughout all these years I’ve never lost my love for creating things. About 5 years ago, feeling uninspired, I stepped away from the corporate world. My partner and I also moved to the country and had two kids. I built up a home business working as a web /graphic designer and now Illustrator & surface pattern designer.

My mind is a juggle of design ideas. I love finding inspiration from nature and from children, who are full of unique and organic ideas. I love bright, bold colours that will put a smile on your face and I like to break the rules!

My shop, Jack and Paige came about after many people asking me where they could by my designs on products. So I created my own brand for my own designs and have made it available for you all.

Thank you for visiting my shop. I hope you find some inspiration from my inspiration.

All fabrics have been tested for durability in light and wash colourfastness. I recommend a cold hand wash and dry in shade for the best care of the fabric. However depending on the end use of the fabric you may need to adjust the way in which it is cared for.

Which fabric is best for quilting?

Poplin, the excellent all-rounder. Our Poplin is beautiful quality, crisp white and prints like a dream. Perfect for apparel and soft homewares such as quilts, pillowcases and soft toys.

When you click on a listing, please flip through all available images associated with the design. You will find a white ruler at the bottom of one of the photos in each listing, these rulers are accurate and true to scale in inches.

We're happy to change the scale for you. Just let me know your requirements.
