About KBFineThreads

This is my amazing husband, he is the reason I strive to create every day.
-
I work in many different mediums; I'm primarily a painter by commission, but I do stained glass, drawing, and all sorts!
-
I have a genetic condition that renders me quite ill most of the time; I hope to become an inspiration to my peers.
-
I grew up on a little farm in Wisconsin; it's very close to my heart and is where I draw a lot of inspiration from.

These are my rescue babies! Jet on the left and Kink on the right. They're always by my side.
My name is Cayleigh Myers, I'm an artist who works in many different mediums! My main passion is for painting, but I love doing a mixture of everything and always have! I have a genetic condition called Elhers-Danlos Syndrome. It affects all parts of the body for everyone differently; for me, I have a lot of GI issues, heart problems and chronic pain. I also had an abdominal surgery that resulted in a me getting a condition called gastroparesis; where the stomach doesn't empty very fast, causing extreme 24/7 nausea. I will soon be tube fed. Because of this, I am unable to work, but trying to get my art out there every day while I'm home. I'm also doing college from home in my free time. I've been selling my art for about 5 years now, and I love every minute of it! Commissions are the most fun, because you get to help people make their ideas into a beautiful reality just for them.
I got into cross stitch when I got sick; I was getting very depressed unable to create while sick in bed. I found fiber arts were something easy to sit down with a cat in my lap and try to forget about what's going on. I'm really starting to fall in love with the medium, and wanted to begin creating patterns to share - bridging the gap between my painting and my cross stitch works. I hope you can find enjoyment in the patterns I create; and if you ever have any questions, don't be hesitant to ask!
