I discovered the world of 3D printing in 2019 and started printing minis and terrain for my own game and decided to start making them for others. I and my players all think it really adds to the game. Store opened on 02/06/2022.

Frequently asked questions

What if my order is returned because of an address problem?

The address is directly entered into Etsy by the buyer. I don't ever touch the address. If a package is returned due to an address problem, I will refund the total of the item but not the amount you paid for shipping. If you received free shipping because your order was over $35. I will refund the amount you paid minus the amount I paid for shipping.

Is Morlins Minis a company or a hobbyist selling mini's?

I am a hobbyist. I have a full time job. I will always return messages as quickly as I can but not while I am at my day job.

What if I overpay for shipping?

If you have overpaid for shipping, and that amount is over $1.00. I will refund the extra. Sometimes Etsy's computer combines items and shipping costs and charge a much higher amount.

What does 32mm or 28mm mean for RPG miniatures?

Scale, 28mm or 32mm, does not reflect the size of the model. A common misunderstanding is if you buy a 32mm model, you're getting a model that is 32mm in height. Scale is for proportion use only. For instance, an average human fighter is meant to be smaller than a frost giant. As a golbin is mean to appear smaller than that same human fighter. These are scaled by Artisan Guild and not by me. All models from them are based on 32mm scale.

Am I a licensed printer for Artisan Guild?

Yes. This company is officially licensed to sell physical prints of Artisan Guild models, obtained through the Artisan Guild Patreon, Tribe or MyMiniFactory Shop. Original digital .stl files of this model can be purchased either by joining the Artisan Guild Patreon (at: https://www.patreon.com/ArtisanGuild ),or at MyMiniFactory (at: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/Artisan_Guild

Will items I sell melt in the heat?

Everything I sell is either some type of resin or filament. They WILL melt or warp in super hot conditions. Like a car in the summer. (even trunk) I learned this from experience and had to throw away about $50 worth of tiles due to warping. And a wagon my party was using all the time.

Custom and personalized orders

All FDM filament printed terrain pieces are going to have some layer lines. It is the nature of filament printers. It prints in layers. I can throw a bunch of technical terms on nozzle size and layer height size at you to let you know that I try to minimize all that stuff but if you are not a 3D printer it means nothing. Suffice to say I use a smaller nozzle and a small layer line width to minimize large lines. Some 3D printers try to save time by using larger nozzles on their FDM printer and thicker layer sizes. This will be faster to print but not the quality most people would want. Most people like to paint the terrain and with the smaller layer lines I use, most of the lines almost disappear when painted.

Custom and personalized orders

I do my best to keep the same color filament in stock so everything will come out exactly the same on what I print today as what I print in 30 days. However, if a supplier is out, I may have to adjust to a slightly different color. Unless otherwise noted on an individual item, I print in “Gray #10103 from the company I buy from.

Resin I use is a gray mixed with a navy gray to make them a little darker. For the most part, all of my miniatures are resin. If a supplier is out of my colors, they may vary slightly. But i am still aiming for some color of gray.
