The Plaschke family has been involved in the manufacture and sale of musical instruments for around 170 years. The founder started his business in Bolzano in 1848. His son Josef moved to Merano in 1959 and opened the first music shop there, where he also included the ocarina in his own production for the first time. Another shop was opened in Algund in 1970.
18 years later, Josef's son Georg joined the instrument making business. In 1979, another instrument was added to the production: The pan flute.
In 2013, Georg's son Alex also joined the company. He graduated from the School for String and Violin Instrument Making in Vienna in 2016. Later, his brother Manuel also joined the family business.
Together, they now run the traditional craft business with full motivation and enthusiasm. Musical instruments are still professionally produced today. They convince with their clear sound, good tuning and perfect workmanship.

Manages the company together with Alex. Manuel is a specialist in our workshop and a master in making panpipes, the main instrument of Plaschke Instruments. Manuel also has the logistics firmly under control.
