La storia di Rustic Remnants risale a decenni fa. Nasce come azienda familiare nella città di Istanbul. Cemal Deregözü, il fondatore, inizia la sua carriera nel Gran Bazar (Kapalı Çarşı), uno dei mercati più antichi del mondo, situato nel cuore storico di Istanbul. Si forma nella produzione di tappeti con maestri artigiani tradizionali.
Dopo anni di esperienza nel settore, ha deciso di fondare la propria azienda, che riflettesse i suoi 25 anni di esperienza e competenza. Attualmente, gestendo Rustic Remnants, partecipa a tutte le fasi, dalla produzione alla progettazione, supervisionando l'intero processo di vendita, dalla vendita al dettaglio a quella all'ingrosso.
Oggi, Rustic Remnants è cresciuta oltre i tappeti, offrendo autentici tappeti turchi vintage, tappeti Oushak sovratinti, kilim etnici e tessuti in canapa, tavole di legno rustiche e antichi vasi di argilla provenienti dai villaggi. Step by step Rustic Remnants:
The story of Rustic Remnants goes back decades. It started as a family business in the city of Istanbul. Cemal Deregözü, the founder, began his career in the Grand Bazaar (Kapalı Çarşı), one of the oldest markets in the world, located in the historic heart of Istanbul. He was trained by masters of traditional craftsmanship in carpet production.
After years of experience in the field, he decided to establish his own company to reflect his 25 years of knowledge and expertise. Currently, while managing Rustic Remnants, he takes part in all stages — from manufacturing to design — while overseeing the entire sales process from retail to wholesale.
Today, Rustic Remnants has grown beyond rugs — offering authentic Turkish vintage rugs, overdyed Oushak carpets, ethnic kilims & hemp textiles, rustic wooden boards, and antique village clay jars. Each piece is carefully sourced from villages across Turkey, carrying history, tradition, and timeless craftsmanship.
Under his leadership, we at Rustic Remnants aim to share our passion with the world. Our unique collection is now proudly sold in the U.S., the U.K., and throughout Europe.
