From Therapist to Shell Artist
As long as I can remember, I've spent my summers diving in our summer cottage on the Aegean coast, collecting shells and following shoals of fish. In primary school, I started to paint the seashells I collected and sell them to our neighbors. When I got to high school, I started to create my own seashell collection. Although I have always been interested in the fine arts, I studied psychology at college, but when I started working as a therapist, I was aware that something was left unfinished. So I decided to try various art fields; I did watercolor, candle painting, abstract acrylic painting, resin trays, and coasters. However, none of them gave me the satisfaction I was looking for until I saw a Pinterest post showing a picture made of seashells. When I saw that post this summer, I realized that this is exactly what I wanted to do. Sea and art together, what else could I ask for? Afterward, we collected shells with my husband on the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts for 2 months. Then, I opened my shop in November. I am still very excited and happy about this small business. Yeah, this was my story, if you've read this far, you have to know that I really appreciate it.
By the way, my most impressive memory was the fear I felt when I came face to face with a moray eel for the sake of an abalone, I don't think I will forget that moment for the rest of my life :)
