I started my shop in 2010 under the name "SewingLoves", but had only really sold handmade sewn pouches. I really enjoy sewing but wasn't enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I was searching on Etsy for various "kits".
For Christmas that year, my sister bought my mom a needle felting book. Neither my mom or myself had ever heard of it and it was forgotten for a few months. Around March, I became curious... what was felting? I saw the pieces that were made on Etsy and I was amazed and beyond intrigued. I looked around and purchased a Felted Pumpkin kit..
I am one of those people who wait around for the mail. I check it early in the morning when I KNOW it hasn't come yet but... I'm hopeful that maybe today it just did. Waiting for my kit was no different, it was worse in fact. I couldn't wait for it. Thank God it was sent priority.
I opened it and started it right away. I was hooked. I loved every second of it and more than anything, I loved my little pumpkin. It still sits on my desk.
I started buying wool. Tons and tons of wool. I bought a pattern book, watched videos, and started learning how to make simple shapes and the tricks of felting. It wasn't long before I came up with my own designs and started selling the pieces in my shop.
I LOVE felting. My room is full of wool and little critters. But really... the best part of felting is the customers. There is no greater joy than to receive a message from someone telling me how much they love my work. And there is no matching the joy of a custom order. These are REALLY the best. This is indeed my passion and I couldn't imagine ever giving it up.
In 2015, we reached 1000 sales! And introduced one of my most popular items: the stork ornament.

My mother also sells in my shop. After introducing her to Etsy, it was only a few months before she also wanted to sell! She began crocheting blankets, but soon discovered how wonderful felted wool was to work with. She combined her two favorite things, animals and sewing, and that's when her cat and dog pillows came to be.
These pillows are unique and original. She writes all the poems! The most popular one is "My Spot, My Chair - The Cat". Since then, she has come up with several variations, versions for Dogs, and even personalization.
