To me, antiques and vintage aren't simply cool for their historical and visual value (although true, too), they are cool because they allow a peek, however briefly, into real lifestyles now gone - lifestyles part of the constant evolution that led us here, and will one day lead us there. Antiques and vintage connect me to the flow of time.
