My name is Gretchen and I'm a mama to two sweet boys in Mid-Michigan. I love the outdoors and draw a lot of inspiration from the colors and atmosphere of the world around me. I love snuggly, chunky yarn and warm accessories to layer on when the wind blows here in the Mitten. I generally curate my collection based on the things that I'd like to wear or to make for my own kiddos and because of that, everything in my shop is chosen and made with great care. I love the challenge of working on custom orders for special customers and love to spend my days at home, surrounded by the chaos of my little ones and the sound of the clicking of my knitting needles.

Wild Violets Gifts was named for the two most beautiful Violets in my life - my beloved Grandma Vi and my sweet daughter, Violet Georgine, who passed away at three days old. To honor these two ladies in my work is a passion of mine and makes what I do even more special to me.
