What began with my friend Anna and a desire to do a few craft shows a year has grown into a small business. Doing a craft show was always a dream of hers and something that was a goal of mine for 2017. Early in the year, we decided to do two or three craft shows just as a fun hobby. We each have our own niche and our styles compliment each other. As my stock began to grow for the craft shows, I found that I really enjoy the process of creating designs and completing a piece. It did not take long to realize I wanted to pursue this with a small business approach rather than just as a hobby. Our products are high quality, handmade pieces made right here in the United States.

My husband Nate, a carpenter, was on board from the beginning with the idea of approaching it more from a business standpoint. He often helps me with pieces and we really enjoy the extra time this allows us to spend together. He has had several ideas for different items to offer that have catered to people we were not reaching before. His woodworking skills and construction knowledge have been invaluable.

The Wooden Branches logo was designed by Anna who has a degree in graphic design. Our name, "Wooden Branches" represents several things. Wooden comes from the fact that Anna and I both started with wood items...signs for me and toys for her. The branches part of the name is two fold. First, it represents a desire for growth. To branch out from where we started. To make items from varying materials. To see where this leads. The second aspect of "branches" is rooted in the verse that says "I am the vine, you are the branches. No one comes to the Father except through me." Our biggest desire in this endeavor and in our life is to continuously seek the Lord's guidance and be reminded that we are serving the almighty God.
