All items will arrive in a sturdy outer shipping box, and inside they'll be in a cardboard gift box wrapped in tissue. They're ready to gift as-is, or add your own additional embellishments. Certain very special pieces will include a more deluxe type of presentation box; this will be noted in relevant listings and shown in photos.

I'm happy to include your custom message with gifts! Include it when you place your order and it will be hand-written on a handmade card and enclosed with the shipment.

While COVID-19 remains an issue, I am not participating in any in-person shows or markets. Local in-person pickup/delivery is suspended until further notice.

Research has confirmed that touching items or surfaces is not a significant risk for catching or spreading COVID, so my standard hygienic practices are sufficient and remain in place. Items you purchase from me will have been tried on as part of my process to ensure fit and quality control; after doing so I wipe them down with alcohol and give them a final polish before storing them in a designated container.

I offer custom designs on a limited basis. Please note that all custom work requires payment in full before work begins. If you want a custom piece by a specific date, contact me as early as possible. This is true year-round but especially during the winter holiday rush (which begins as early as September for artists like me)!

The metals I work with are recycled, and I share the habit of most jewelers in that I collect every scrap and shaving, even sawdust, to sell back to the precious metal refiners where they will recycle it again.

I love buying from independent lapidary artists, but I also use some larger suppliers who serve the jewelry trade. All of the larger suppliers and a growing number of the smaller ones carry ethical production certifications. I am not aware of any ethical concerns regarding any of the stones or suppliers I work with, and if such information did come to light I would act to find a better option immediately. All stones are identified accurately to the best of my ability based on information from the supplier and my own knowledge.

I work with 925 sterling silver, 935 Argentium silver (a patented alloy that melts nicely and resists tarnish), 999 fine silver, and some copper and brass. These are all nickel-free, and the solders I use are cadmium-free (as has been the law in the US for quite some time). While silver itself is unlikely to cause allergic reaction or skin irritation, some people may experience irritation from tarnish or polishing compounds; thorough cleaning may help. Recycling metals is standard in the jewelry trade, so that element of sustainability is built into every piece.

If you don't have a silver polishing cloth, you should get one. They're great, and will keep your jewelry looking great for years. Check my jewelry care section, or if you spend $100+ you’ll receive one free!

I don't advise the use of liquid cleaning solutions- a lot of stones can be damaged or discolored by them. If you really feel the need to, either use a cloth and avoid getting any stones wet, or do a web search on how to safely clean that gemstone. The same goes for ultrasonic cleaning devices- consult the machine’s manual, and do a web search on any stones. All-metal pieces are at lower risk, but be aware that patina may be affected and results may be unpredictable. If you have any doubts, message me and we'll figure it out together.

While USPS service has generally been much better recently than the crisis state it was in for much of 2020, delays do still happen. As of October 2022 most orders appear to be arriving on time, but any time of year if you need something by a specific date, allowing a few extra days is always smart. Shop early!

Unfortunately, once a parcel is surrendered to the carrier, I have absolutely no control. Packages are insured for their actual value & if a claim needs to be made, please contact me. I will work with you to get the best resolution possible from USPS. I cannot refund orders that are lost by USPS and not reimbursed by USPS. If you wish to use a different shipping carrier (UPS, Fedex, etc) please contact me and I'll look into it.

Falsely marking merchandise as a gift on a customs declaration is against the law, and fines can be enormous- enough to destroy a small business. I do not falsify these official documents. I reserve the right to cancel orders if such a request is made.

VAT is collected by Etsy during the checkout process on eligible orders. I have no involvement or control in this.

I’m happily still serving clients in the EU, with the exception of Germany; German LUCID regulations enacted in 2022 unfortunately made it impossible. If the law changes I’ll happily resume sales to Germany.

Tariffs are collected by the destination country and are the sole responsibility of the buyer. I have absolutely no involvement in or control over them.

Orders are generally shipped within 1-5 business days of the order and payment being finalized. I use the address entered at checkout- if you need it shipped elsewhere we’ll need to cancel the order and create a new one. This ensures you and I are both protected by relevant Etsy and USPS policies. Message me with any questions or issues.
