About

Hey.

I started my creative career with 8 amazing years working as a professional Graphic Designer for various agencies. In that time I had the opportunity to create work for some great clients such as Marks and Spencer, Bridgestone and the Royal Navy.

In 2012 I decided it was time to fly the coop and leave the warming embrace of the industry to go it alone. I took all the technical know how I had picked up and created 17th & Oak.

Wondering where the name came from? It was my address when I spent a year living in Vancouver, Canada. I thought it was unusual and had a nice ring to it.

Taking my design knowledge, mixing it with various illustration techniques whilst on a steady diet of pop culture led to a wide range of art inspired by my passions; movies, typography and music (especially on vinyl). Welcome to 17th & Oak.

A few of my movie inspired typography prints appeared on some influential blogs not long after 17th & Oak started which gave me a large amount of exposure. This led to some great opportunities to work with clients such as Fandango, Riot Games and Ben and Jerry's.

I have exhibited my work all over the world including Paris, Oxford and the 2015 San Diego Comic Con.

17th & Oak is still going strong selling prints and creating art for a range of interesting clients.

Thank you for looking and if you have any questions, just give me a shout at pete [!at] 17thandoak.com.

Cheers
