I'm an artist with a crisis. I'm committed towards working for the common good, and I feel that art in a lot of way is a selfish endeavor. How does one marry the two desires? The obvious way is to continue to make art for those who appreciate it so much that they will buy it and then in turn use that money to improve the world in ways that make sense to me. It seems like a fair trade. For now this is what I will do: exactly half of each sale will go to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. They are an organization committed to policing the worlds oceans for wales and other animals. I've given this a good bit of thinking. While I feel that there are many organizations out there doing great work for the benefit of others, our oceans are in crisis and it seems to me the need there is most critical.
