I was a creative spirit with a passion for art from a young age. By age nine I was taking my influence from the Native American sand painting, jewelry, pottery and weaving motifs that I was exposed to during family trip to Northern Arizona. Folk-art and crafts from around the globe continue to be an inspiration and strong influence in my work. I'm a Graphic Designer with degrees in Illustration and Design from Parsons and Massachusetts College of Art but I dabble in jewelry making, collage, sketching, painting, sculpture, bookbinding, photography, and fiber arts. I enjoy working with my hands and manipulating materials. One thing I have never been is a fine artist. I am happy to let other artists line the walls of museums. I prefer utilitarian art that is meant to be worn, used or otherwise interacted with on a regular basis.
