Hi; I've been a woodworker for over 40 years. I started like many others, working with my father in his shop. My father taught me alot about woodworking, and the love of working wood. I worked in the industry for many years as a cabinetmaker, furnituremaker, and an all around woodworker. I've been forunate to live in many places over the last 30 years. I've been able to know many other woodworkers, and observe their techniques. Some I liked others not so much, but just knowing these people enriched my life and made me a more rounded woodworker. Now I am semiretired and living in Arizona. I now have enough time to live the dream of a small one manned shop. I primarily work in Mesquite which is a native hardwood. I reclaim this from slash and firewood piles, it's amazing what people burn. I also use any other woods I can reclaim. I bring these back to my shop where I cut and mill them down to usable stock.
