About

Using fabric and thread to create something is not only fun, but therapeutic for me; hence the name: 2 Frayed Knot 2 Sew! I am a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Battle Ground High School, which may be the only school left in the Vancouver area that actually teaches a construction class. When I was very small, my mother stuck a needle and thread in my hands to keep me occupied, so she could sew, and I’ve been sewing ever since. I love remaking new garments using outgrown, worn out or cast off clothing. This appeals to my thrifty nature and allows me to be creative with little risk! I also like to quilt, make handbags and also dabble in jewelry a bit. As a teacher, I am always striving to encourage creativity with my students and therefore, in myself. I feel very strongly about passing these skills on to the younger generations. Enjoy looking at what I have to offer!
