In the Victorian Era, tonsorial parlours ranged from the small town mom and pop shops to high society parlours with in-house tailors, ready to take measurements for your custom suit. For some, this was a place for men to socialize, sipping on scotch, brandy, and the iconic absinthe while being pampered with tonics, elixirs, lotions, and shines. For others, it was a place for a dad and his son to get a quick clean cut. Fathers would take their sons for their first straight razor shaves and teach them to become men, leaving them with memories they will always hold onto. Americana and high society, hand in hand.
