Miranda Gail Stevens' Profile

About

I, self-confessingly, consider myself to be an unique hillbilly; simple, yet complex within one. Having been blessed to grow up surrounded by and immersed in nature, I formed deep fascinations and appreciations for all things natural at a very early age. Overtime, those obsessions have only deepened; therefore, nature is one of the main inspirations and mediums of my creations. However, my simple country raising also included watching my grandmother create and repair clothing for her family, accompanying my grandfather to check his farm, and hanging out with my dad and uncle in their mechanic shop. All these situations, and more, formed affinities within me for working creatively with scrap material, rusted barb-wire, spare metal parts, and pretty much whatever was laying around.

Earlier in life, due to a destructive tornado, my family moved to a much larger city and school system. Because of this, I had many opportunities that my previous rural school would not have provided. Thanks to an incredible and encouraging art teacher; and later, the privilege to elect two years of photography class, I began to hear my inner expression louder and louder. Later, I moved back to my small hometown and reconnected with my original inspirations.
Art, of any kind, has always been a deeply ingrained part of my life; but, I feel my soul has always spoken the strongest through my original designs. Whenever I draw, it seems the tribal spirit of my native-american ancestors channels through me. Overall, I love to view things outside of the norm and create pieces that express that. Random things speak to me; and I, in turn, humbly attempt to speak through and with them. Not wanting to ever feel "boxed in" or "in a rut", I am constantly experimenting with new mediums, techniques, and skills. A true multi-media artist at heart, I never wish to stop learning or discovering new ways to express myself.
ADNARIMdesigns has been a very long time coming! It encompasses all the inspirations of my life and truly offers unique, spirited designs. It is my hope that my creations are interpreted as individually as they are created. I, Miranda Gail Stevens, am sole owner/designer/artist/and staff of ADNARIMdesigns and I wish to thank you deeply for you interest and patronage in my line of work and my shop. Please enjoy and check regularly for my latest creations!
