ADrauglis' Profile

About

I present my works in both traditional and contemporary styles, confining myself to convention in one piece and letting my imagination run wild in the next (or perhaps a bit of both – whatever suits the project).

My purpose as an artist is defined by a desire to create all that I can by using the skills I have learned, the knowledge I have acquired, and, my imagination. Every piece that I create is, in some way, a balance of these three forces.

I am also very firmly dedicated to using every bit of material which I have. Pieces left over from big projects become small projects; pieces left over from small projects become chopsticks and spoons. Shavings and sawdust are used as mulch or added to the compost pile. Small or damaged scraps are used as cooking fuel and the cinders thrown in the garden.
