Tony Reinemann's Profile

About

For more than 30 years, Tony Reinemann has been creating snapshots of his life and the world around him through his fine art painting. In recent year, he has been able to combine his talents as a fine arts painter and digital arts professional to create vivid portraits of New York City and all of it's eccentricities.

Reinemann notes that in Manhattan everything is exaggerated and magnified - the beautiful and the opulent; the unseemly and unrefined. His work aims to capture that imagery.

Over the year, Reinemann's art has been exhibited at the Museum of the National Gallery of Design in New York City and the Whitney Museum of American Art as well as other notable galleries in the United States. His paintings are represented in private collections throughout the United States and internationally.

His paintings are represented in private collections throughout the United States and internationally.

Reinemann describes his art as autobiographical and spiritual. Using New York City as his canvas, he creates images that portray his world of observation and contemplation. When the sun goes down and darkness takes over, Reinemann notes that there is no other place as mysterious and theatrical as Manhattan, which he describes as the perfect allegorical backdrop.

Reinemann began his art studies at the Sage College in his hometown of Albany, New York. He went on to the School of Visual Arts in New York where he earned his BFA and received the Rhodes Family Award for Excellence in Arts, one of the school's top honors.

In addition to his career in the fine arts, Reinemann has worked for many years in the field of illustration and digital imagery in the advertising industry. His creativity can be seen in many prominent advertising campaigns for some of the world's leading consumer products.
