Accessorea: What's in a name?
My sister Taryn is responsible for my name, and my business name. I was born Teresa, but Taryn was only 18 months old when I came along and though she was very very smart, she couldn't pronounce Teresa easily. She called me Rea. I decided when I was 3 how I would spell that. I am forever grateful for the name.

Around 1983, with a bevy of beautiful sisters and girlfriends to shop for at gift giving occasions, I found myself looking at earrings, necklaces and bracelets and thinking inside "I can do that', and further, I wanted something unique. So I started making my own accessories. I let chutzpah guide me. I asked Taryn to help me name my accessories business. She came up with Accessorea. Thanks, Tarry.
