AdultIndulgences' Profile

About

I am a searcher! I am curious about everything in our world. I could live to be 100 and never have the time for the urges of my heart. If I could live without sleeping, I would--time, time, time. I have always loved cooking and love giving dinner parties. Everyone always wanted my recipes and the spices I used. So finally, after 20 years of giving spice stocking stuffers, I decided to make my spice blends in bulk, name them, place them in a commmercial setting and let others enjoy them. It excites me to see others become interested in natural things and my heart warms when I see happy people.

I have sold my art items for many years, mainly Native American themed, and find great satisfaction in working with my hands to create unique and one of a kind items. I hope to add my hand inlaid seed bead jewelry soon. I would never sell what I wouldn't wear myself.

I am 50 years old, a retired lawyer, teacher, accountant and secretary. I will never be a retired artist, as it has been my dream to have an online store. ETSY will allow me to reach for the stars. I am married to a school psychologist and we live in rural Idaho. We are blessed to be in such a beautiful location. Raising a family here has been perfect!

Spice mixing is fantastic. My husband calls me his "Spice Mistress." Ummmmm. At our age it definitely refers to food. :) Just want to list a few spice facts here so they are common knowledge. The more you know about a product the better you will like it!

I am proudly a memember of etsy CAST(Christian Artists Street Team)!

Notes on Spices:

*Our spices are packaged in the same area where nuts are handled. If someone in your family is allergic to any form of nut, we do not recommend you use spices made outside your home. For more information on herb, spice and food allergies click here: http://www.eatwell.gov.uk/healthissues/foodintolerance/foodintolerancetypes/spiceallergy/

*We do not sell outside of the United States. We hope to change this in the future.

*Certain spice blend ingredients are available only at certain times a year. Therefore, we may, at times, not have all of our varieties available.

*All of our spice blends are packaged in food grade, FDA approved packaging.

*All of our spice packets will make multiple meals. We do recommend that our Caribbean Drums blend be purchased in multiple packets if you intend to use it with our Caribbean Curry Coconut Prawns recipe. We do carry gift boxes with 2 or 3 packets of one ounce spice blends. Caribbean Drums is our best seller locally.

*Our spice blends do not contain chemicals preservatives. Some clumping of powdered ingredients is to be expected, especially if kept in a moist environment. We recommend you store the spices in a dry, cool spot. If clumping does occur just gently press with fingers to unclump.

*Spices generally do not "go bad." But, with age they do lose their potency. For storage over 1 year a glass container is recommended.

*Although spice tins are beautiful, over time they can impart a metallic taste to spices. We should all be careful of spice tins made in third world countries.

I only hope you can enjoy my products as much as I enjoy making them.
