About

My aim is to bring to your attention the incredible patterns and geometry from which everything in nature grows. Sacred geometries exist in a huge biodiversity of beings, connecting us all to the same basic forms and patterns of growth and development. Sacred geometries inspire me, and allow the seer to visually connect vastly "different" beings through a common pattern or structure.

I use the ancient Indonesian process "Batik" to create my tapestries. The process involves stretching the fabric over a frame, sketching the design, then filling in lines with hot melted wax using a sort of wax reservoir pen or "tjanting tool." I then mix my own dye paint colors and paint the dye onto the fabric in different areas. After that, I will likely wait for it to dry and then do several more layers of waxing and dyeing before it's done. To finish, all of the wax is melted out of the fabric by ironing between newspapers and then I wash it with an all natural soap to remove remaining dye and wax residues. As you can see this process requires a lot of time, taking many hours over the span of a few days to complete.

Available in my shop are photo prints of my artwork, as well as original tapestries.
Most of my art prints are photographs of my batik tapestries.
