Family and friends often say that they find buying gifts for me is like drawing a wild card: "Anything goes... and yet, nothing goes".
It's partly true: anything has the potential to make me happy! I don't even have a favourite colour: only favourite shades in various combinations - rich, jewel colours intricately embroidered or painted; textures we inherently find in natural objects like wood and stone, or through carvings in metal, bone and wood furniture.
Clothes with relaxed, clean lines in natural fabrics make me feel good, and pre-loved, mid-century leather furniture strewn with old cowhide giant cushions in mixed, bleached tones that invite guests to relax and stay a while bring me joy.
Almost anything pre-loved also catches my eye! So, perhaps what finds its way into…
