Alana McCarthy's Profile

About

Hello! I'm Alana McCarthy, an illustrator from Toronto, Canada. I've been painting my Geeky Pets since I created a Christmas card featuring two of my cats, Luna and Bacon. Some friends requested sketches of cats as other characters and suddenly Geeky Pet was born!

My paintings have been featured on The Mary Sue, I Can Haz Cheezburger? and even Robert Downey Jr.'s Facebook fan page - yep Iron Man himself! I've also been interviewed by Morgan Hoffman on the Space Channel's InnerSpace show.

Finding just the right kitty to play a character is super amusing and I'm always adding more to my collection - and a few dogs and robots too! Thanks for checking them out!
