About

Hi, my name is Alia, Welcome to my shop!

I like to with work with an array of media but my current passion is Paper. I'm very excited to be exploring the art of pop-up. Through trial and error, I am figuring out the principles and mechanisms behind 3-D paper folding and sculpture. It's an Adventure!

I also have a blog where you can see other projects I am working on: thegreatbluemorning.tumblr.com/

I'm also pursuing an education in sustainability and agriculture and will be spending the next year traveling and working on farms across the country. In September of 2013 I am going to Earthship Academy http://earthship.com/school in Taos, New Mexico, where I will learn how to build completely off the grid homes. I'm also pursuing an education in sustainability and agriculture and will be spending the next year traveling and working on farms across the country. In September of 2013 I am going to Earthship Academy http://earthship.com/school in Taos, New Mexico, where I will learn how to build completely off the grid homes. I'm very excited to be pursuing a way of life that creates less waste while making creative use of existing waste-materials. A group of earthship builders went to Haiti and did some fantastic work within the community, helping to construct entirely self-sustained homes for victims of the earthquake. The homes were built entirely from rubble collected from the streets after the disaster. Members of the community learned the skills necessary to build small earthship homes and also learned how to teach, and pass along these methods. It's fantastic work, and I hope that I can be a part of it.

I hope that the miniature size of my current work will allow me to create on the road. Every purchase will surely help to facilitate my journey ahead. Thank You very much for stopping by!
