ABOUT THE POPULAR ARTIST
LUCELLE RAAD
Lucelle Raad embodies the American dream, in every piece of art she creates. She combines her European concern with human form and her personal search for character with an American twist. The results are her images of children, who, as she says, have "more character in an offhand gesture… than in all the posturing of our adult world."
Many are touched by Lucelle's blending of the hopeful innocence of children in a commonplace setting. Each case awakens nostalgia for that youthful honesty and simplicity in all that view her work.

The recipient of multiple awards, her most prized award was received at the world famous Washington Square Art Exhibit, an annual event in New York which is an invitational, juried show with over 500 artists from every corner of the globe. Lucelle's art graces many corporate, public, and private collections in every state in the union and in countries around the world.

About Tom James

Tom James was born in New Jersey. He studied at the Art Students League and Rutgers University. He has participated as a member and received multiple awards from the New Jersey Watercolor Society and the prestigious Salmagundi Club of New York City. Tom’s style suits various types of collectors from large corporations to private homes.

His paintings have been acquired by such corporations as Ingersoll Rand, United Technologies, Whiteweld Barrister and Brown. His artwork is proudly owned in the private collections of Bill Parcells, Bette Midler, Mike Love of the Beach Boys, and Chelsea Clinton. His artwork has been reproduced on coasters and note cards by the Metropolitan Opera and is sold in their gift shop.

Tom has his own original approach to paintings. His style is fresh and uplifting, while his palette is rich in its tones. His paintings have both a spiritual and romantic flair illustrated in the subject matter. The artist’s mastery resides in his ability to imprison light on canvas. The very delicate poetic strain in his paintings may be traced to the impressionist era. He has put sheet music in his work for over 20 years. One of his paintings graced the cover of Billboard Magazine’s Music Publishing issue. One critic remarked that Tom is driven solely by his heart and emotions.
