About

After spending all of my life on Long Island, NY, I decided to head off to the big city of Boston in the pursuit of higher learning and new life experiences. By day, I teach HS English and Writing for the Boston Public Schools and by night, I am left to pursue other interests which include baking, reading, and making jewelry. It’s been an unpredictable and exciting ride so far and I look forward to see where things go.
The idea for a jewelry business began with a few fruitless shopping trips. Like birds and infants, I’ve always been attracted to anything that glistens, so jewelry was a natural obsession for me.

It became harder and harder to find affordable, high quality jewelry that I could wear every day or for a special occasion as I grew older. And so finally, after going store to store in the hunt for the perfect pair of earrings in the sweltering heat of late June in 2006, I decided to learn how to make my own. Thus began my new obsession: making jewelry!
The name, “All that Glistens,” is taken from a key line in William Shakespeare’s play, “The Merchant of Venice.” It seemed fitting because all my jewelry glistens, and I’ve always had a strong connection to English literature.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed the story behind the business but the main focus is the jewelry. My hope is that something that you see here will end your own quest for that perfect piece of jewelry…at least for now. Enjoy!
