I hope the pieces in my little shop bring you as much joy within your life as they have during their stay in mine.

* Update: I (used to) teach art by day, gardened by twilight and lived full time as a mommy to my sweet Chlo-Glow and my lovely newborn. Now, I hang out with my little lovies ALL day. That's right, more time for us and now this little shop too. Meaning, more handmade items and lots of one-of-a-kind trinkets I make while the babes sleep. Sigh, it's awesome. No regrets.

About me?
I'm a mommie to 2 rambunctious babies. I've been a wife to an adorable fireman for 6 years and counting and I love maintaining our garden, home and assorted little animal beasts while still being able to be creative on a daily basis in my little…

About me?
I'm a mommie to 2 rambunctious babies. I've been a wife to an adorable fireman for 6 years and counting and I love maintaining our garden, home and assorted little animal beasts while still being able to be creative on a daily basis in my little studio.

Before this domestic heaven? I was born in the heart of the rocky Mountains and I became a Texas transplant in high school. I stayed for college and decided to stick around post grad. I love my adopted southern traits and silly sayings (all y'all) but I still miss the mountains and embrace my Western Rockies upbringing and memories.

During and post college, I worked closely within the plant and nursery industry, which is where my love and knowledge of plants, gardening, and landscape design can be traced. These organic aspects often wind their way into my work as I love leaves, sticks, moss, insects...

Then, I got my art teaching job. For 8 years I taught mostly high risk students and/or socio-economically disadvantaged students, which was a life changing experience on so many levels. Then, after the birth of my second lovey, I finally decided it was past due time to spend my days with my own precious children.

I have always been somebody who likes to make and sell stuff. In second grade, I drew and colored with crayon, giant California Raisin posters for $5 each. Who bought those?! Then there was the time I learned to crochet hemp necklaces in high school when that sort of thing was really cool... Throughout college I sold Jewelry, vintage button art and bouquets and could always be found near gardens, flowers or a landscape designing job.

ETSY was a natural next step and I sincerely Thank ETSY for this outlet!

I find inspiration everywhere I turn for my own work. From the rusted, worn out buildings that litter the landscape of our Texas town, to the deep indigo-blue of my #1's eyes, to the ever-changing natural light moving over the canyon I am lucky enough to call home. I find myself inspired to simply create, collect little beauties, be a good person and live close to nature with my beautiful family.

Some items in the shop are OOAK (one-of-a-kind) made from gemstone beads, assorted metals, wood, leather and other materials I collect and admire. Other pieces I have discovered or sought out for their texture, history, color, design, etc.
I love a good vintage find and love that others do too.

Please convo me w/ any questions you might have or for a quick quote for shipping outside the U.S.

I sincerely appreciate you looking and please visit again.

Happy Summer, Raechel @ AlyndriaNest
