Tracy Armstrong's Profile

About

From the designer Tracy:

Creating and being creative has always been a part of my life. I was encouraged at a young age by the women in my family to be creative and imaginative - and that not everyone sees beauty the same way. I was lucky to come from a creative family full of musicians, painters, crafters, and wood workers. These people instilled in me the value of hand made, the love of creating something with your own hands, and the desire to share that beauty with the world. I obtain my creative vision from everything that surrounds me - the majestic mountains of my home state Vermont, the colors of the fall, the way water rushes on the shore, the sound of the breeze on a calm, sunny summer day. Making a piece of jewelry is so much more than putting beads together - it's what inspired that particular piece. There is personalization in each piece that is created. Making a piece of jewelry is so much more than putting beads together - it's what inspired that particular piece. There is personalization in each piece that is created. They are evoked by emotion, a memory, a song. Part of me goes to each of you when a piece is bought and shipped. My husband and I create as a team, and each piece is a labor of love. We're so blessed to have the ability to share that love with you. Thank you for taking the time to visit our little corner of the web. We hope you enjoy your time here, and we always welcome feedback from our customers and admirers.

From the designer Robert:

My background is similar but different. I was raised in the country and am a little more of a rough and rowdy kinda guy. I love big trucks, 4x4's, motorcycles and other manly things, but I also have a deep appreciation for beauty and art. Unfortunately for me I do not come from a family that is gifted artistically and creatively, and I'm not very good at painting,or sculpting, or even drawing. I do however have a knack for combining colors and creating unique and beautiful jewelry. I fell in love with beading when I met my wife Tracy in 2005. We were bored one night and she wanted to make a gift for a friend. She pulled out her small stash of supplies and we spent the rest of the night creating jewelry and having fun with each other. That was how we started our journey that has lasted over 8 years, and have no plan of stopping anytime soon. I have always had a creative mind but taking an idea to realization was not a strong suit for me, until I discovered chain maille. Chain maille is the means by which I can combine my artistic ideas, my interest and my lifestyle into a unique and special creation. Each piece I create is based on a theme or idea and a lot of thought goes into every design. There are a plethora of maillers out there now, but I think my use of color combinations, quality, and complexity of design sets me apart. I'm always thinking about "what's next" and can't wait to try something new. I even created puzzle piece jewelry and was featured in Bead trends magazine in April 2009! I draw my inspiration from the country, my profession(truck driver), my faith, my semi-Gothic past, my Native American heritage, and the beauty of EVERYDAY life. Tracy and I love creating something new, and are genuinely excited when someone recognizes and loves our designs. We know there's a lot of jewelry makers/sellers out there and are thrilled you chose us! Also check out our fan page on face book Angelheartbeads for updates and coupon codes!!
