About

My “art” is a conversation with Spirit . . . Who speaks to me in colors and shapes, my work devoted to The Sacred Feminine.

I grew up in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. My family of origin was and is very creative and so I was always surrounded by art in all of its many forms. This same family was also very spiritual. In looking back I can see that this everyday organic union of nature, art, and spirit planted some incredible cosmic seed in the garden of my soul!

In 2007 I began to be visited by, and compelled to paint, incredible angels who seemed to simply flow from my paintbrush! My paintings were (and are) the direct result of dynamic guidance, a wordless dialogue with Spirit who guided my hand to choose a certain color, to paint a black oval, a white spiral . . . or to stop and wait. Sometimes a painting would just pop into…

Sometimes a painting would just pop into my head completely finished and I would race to my easel! At other times I would experience a fantastically vivid dream then spend years trying to recreate it on paper, such as with the pieces “God Dream” and “God Dream Two”. My favorite experience is when Spirit tells me to trace my shadow and be willing; this process resulted in my “Self Portrait”.

I grew ever increasingly drawn to and visited by the feminine facet of Spirit; The Goddess. As I continued to listen, learn, and paint, the conversations became at times very intense, even confusing and painful. I struggled with the message. Some pieces were very hard to paint. “Kali Cries” for example, took me an entire year to complete, a very long time for a watercolor! “Full Moon Lisa” is an expression of my personal grief, under the guidance of a full moon, and holds my tears.

Due to the deeply personal nature of this process, I was unable to show anyone my paintings for a very long time, not even my dear precious daughters! I just could not reveal them to anyone. They were too intimate. I never thought they were art. (This never will be their primary purpose.) When Spirit finally directed me to share them, these pieces that drip with grief and healing began to take on an additional dimension through the eyes of others. I continue to see things in each piece that I did not know I painted, confirming that they come not from me, but from Spirit. This living cycle of creation continues to astound me.

What a journey it’s been! It never occurred to me that I would be displaying these works on a website and hanging them in any gallery! I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the Universe for this fantastic opportunity to share them! Goddess is so amazing!

Thank you for honoring the message of the Sacred Feminine.

Blessings and Light from my heart, I would truly love it if you let me know what YOU see!
