The very special lady that started this whole fabric, sewing and crafting obsession was my wonderful grandmother Maria DeJesus. Her grandchildren affectionately called her, Mama Jesusita. She was amazing at sewing, embroidering and crocheting. She too at one point made a small business of her craft/talent. Since about the age of five I would sit for hours and watch her embroider and see little by little the masterpieces that were unfolding. She very patiently passed on her talent and aloud me to work on her work. I say patiently because to teach this craft does take much patience, which I lack when teaching it. She would make dresses in what seemed like 5 minutes to me. She always sat on her wooden folding chair at her blue vintage sewing machine with all her thread spools in cookie tins and worked. So now in my work I tell her story and hopefully one day I will pass it along as well.

If you have any special animal, size or collar length requests that you don't curently see in my shop please let me know. Possibilities are endless :o)
