Annie was born and raised in Seattle, Washington during the magical late 1970s & early 80s. She grew up in the Wallingford and Phinney Ridge neighborhoods, running wild in the streets with her two younger brothers and other neighborhood kids.
Annie's creativity was evident at a young age - one of her favorite activities was inventing communities by drawing them out on large pieces of cardboard and acting out the lives of the people, animals and plants she imagined lived there. In 1988, Annie was accepted to the Northwest School of the Arts, Humanities and Sciences where she was immersed in a community and education that embraced and nurtured her artistic talents. Her love of landscape, nature and community has endured throughout her entire life and led her to earn her bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from the University of Oregon…
