About

Why?
As a child my mother used to laugh that we could have a drought and I would still find way to get muddy. I should have listened to her and got to ceramics sooner. Instead I spent most of my adult life as an engineer. And then when I lost of my last engineering job I discovered the fun of playing in the mud again.

What?
To me clay provides a fun creative medium. I try to make my pieces to be a bit of an escapist fun. Most of my pieces are somehow related to serving tea as the international ever present comfort beverage served by English police women when talking about murder as well as an excuse for Chinese families to sample great number of edibles for brunch.
My pieces range through many different styles ranging from modern hand build to pure kitsch with few classic wheel thrown pieces thrown in. Hope you find something to your taste…

Who?
I am still the one who takes responsibility here for majority of the pieces. But from time to time my partner will sneak in a piece. To us creating with clay is as much artistic endeavor as a form of meditation and relaxation. The urge to create tends to infect those around me, and I tend to encourage it rather than stop it.

Etc.
In order to find more room in my garage for my muddy creative efforts I had started to evict a bunch of other interesting items trying to hide in there and thus I now own here on Etsy another store:

So now you can create for yourselves a classic or vintage outfit to go with your new ceramics.

Enjoy.
