Theressa Silver's Profile

About

My Grandmother was an amazing knitter. She tried to teach me on numerous occasions but it never stuck. When she died, many years ago, I wound up with all her needles. They sat on a shelf loved, but unused until spring ‘08 when I decided I was tired of being haunted by them and it was time for me to learn to knit already!

I have been designing and sewing clothes for over 20 years now. It started because I could never find dresses that fit or suited my body. As I got into it, I discovered that I really love making up my own. So, naturally, I started designing knit garments from the get-go. The endless flexibility and shape-ability of knit fabric inspires me to test the limits and create the unexpected. Give me a rule and I’ll be happy to break it with wonderful and surprising results!
