I have support and concern and since I believe in resilience and perseverance in my life and my work and I try to seize the moment and get better. I am amazed at the love, kindness and total support we each give each other. We are not alone. Here is a little of my story...

I do not think anyone knows I paint through a brain injury and two fingers on my dominant -right hand sitting on the floor because as yet I can not reach up with my arm. I am going through intensive therapy with myself and holistic-chiropractor Ron Inda and the amazing brain injury group in Madison, Wisconsin. Keep your fingers crossed for me. We now have a button that you can purchase on my web site and I donate a portion to our group for incidentals.

My paintings are an exploration of observation and story telling. Sometimes the inspiration comes quickly while other times if resides in my mind for some time. My inspirations are my feelings with regard to a subject.

Whether I capture the mental image or the digital photograph of a subject, I first sketch the picture and then use oil paint to explore a variety of color contrasts and depth to give substance and meaning to my work. I start with a blank canvas which allows the completed piece to be a reflection of my intelligence, research, hope, values, and trust in myself and God. The end result is my mind, heart, and soul expressing themselves.

My style merges personal experience with images of world peace. With my paintings I try to bridge the gaps in humanity to build a stronger foundation built on compassion, inspiration, and faith. My use of variance and relevant subject matter provide an overall sense of peace and empathy between myself and the viewer.

"I've had issues with Face book confusing me with a robot, and I worry that I may have my account blocked if I exceed my friendship limits. I've created this page: http://www.facebook.com/ArtByMarilyn and I would be so grateful if all of my wonderful friends would make the... See More switch to that page. Please click the LIKE button to connect with... See More me on that page."

For your web site you should say something about not being able to accept all the friend requests you have gotten, and you don't want to lose those connections.

In the future, visit that page, and make your updates there.
