About

I was born in Nashville, Tennessee in the late 1960's. I have been painting, drawing, creating art for over 30 years. Every road, street, highway, trail, ditch, rut, alley or avenue I have every taken has always lead me to art.

I studied commercial art at Memphis State University in the late 1980’s. I have lived in Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, San Francisco, Norfolk, Atlanta and Chicago. I currently reside in the Atlanta, Georgia area (Lilburn) where I have a studio and concentrate most of my efforts on painting.

I work in latex acrylic enamel, oil, stain and other media, primarily on oak-board and birch-wood. My artwork appears to have been created on a standard commercial canvas. However, I make most of my canvases out of 5.2mm oak-board or birch-wood trimmed with inch and a half pine, oak, poplar or other wood. It is basically a standard canvas, but “stretched” in wood. Most pieces hang just over an inch and a half from the wall.

When I create a painting or a series of paintings, my primary focus is interior design. Will people want to hang this in their home? I think it is the most important question you can ask.
