I've worked with metal from a young age: learning from my father in his welding shop in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Growing up in Truckee, I spent most of my time in the forest or swimming in lakes.
My love for the natural world led me to UC Santa Cruz, where I received my B.S. in Molecular Biology. I also studied letterpress printing and bookbinding at the Cowell Press, and taught a class on wild mushroom cultivation and foraging.
My connection to both natural and industrial design informs much of the work I do now. I combine traditional methods and organic materials with an intensely modern, industrial twist.
