About

ABOUT ME: Telling stories and recording them have always been important to me, but I has always had trouble documenting my own. Not always having the right words to express my feelings around events that have happened in my life led me to finding a new way to journal. I learned, over time, that I just needed to be able to record my story in my own way – through color, textures, symbols and pictures. I love teaching others this way to communicate their stories while ultimately drawing them closer to God. I believes that this style of creative journaling will help springboard people into seeing who God created them to be. My passion is to ultimately help others to think of themselves as creative and live out their lives as the person God created them to be, a fully creative being.

I have my undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas in Communication Design, I have worked at Fossil, Fellowship Church and now freelance from home. Three years ago, I started a ministry called Safe Blankets that gives handmade quilts to children in crisis situations. Since that time they have given over 150 quilts to children in the Chicago area. I have been teaching art and journaling classes for the past 2 years at women’s retreats, various small groups and even at my own studio. In that time I have taught almost 200 women this way of connecting with God and discovering themselves.

In other news I was featured on the blog for the Dallas Morning News as well as some other great Etsy Shops check out what they had to say here: http://shopping.beloblog.com/archives/2007...etsy_sites.html
