Welcome to my BIO!

I grew up on a dairy farm in Selma, Indiana that was called Ashlawn Farms, so that where the name comes from. I went to college to become a certified athletic trainer and work/teach at a high school.

My grandmother taught me the art of quilting when I was very young- during my early 20s she and I partnered and made over 30 traditional quilts together. She suffered a stroke in 1997 and passed in 2004. Since her stroke it was hard for me to sew again until over a year ago when I discovered rag quilting and fell in love with it.

Make yourself at home in my store here. I am glad you have you viewing my items.

You will also find many handcrafted items listed in my store from rag quilts to something unique…
