About

I take reenacting any time period serious from my persona down to my shoes. When I got started reenacting the American Civil War in my area several years ago, there wasn't much in the way of info on what was right or wrong to wear, so I had to do it for myself. I spent countless hours researching every detail before I made anything. When I could afford it, I would go to visit exhibits of original accessories, collect original images, and if I was lucky buying my own original accessories

I own a variety of mid 19th century originals. Everything I make is documented from my originals, primary sources, books, patterns, or period photographs. You won't find plastic boning in my pieces, glue gun glue, or man made fibers. The only exception to the rule is where I absolutely cannot find a period correct substitute. When I am not creating accessories for living historians, I am a student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where I am working on a degree in psychology. Also when time allows I attend living histories as a working wet plate photographer.

What I have in my shop currently is just the beginning of accessories I plan to offer here. In the not too distant future I plan to have silk aprons and lady's cuffs and collars. Right now my focus is on the American Civil War and the mid 19th century time period. As I become more confident in my research I will be offering items from the Great War period (World War I). So if I don't have anything that interests you know, please mark me as a favorite shop so you will be reminded to check back from time to time to see what pops up here.
