Well it starts as an adventure into the forest......It ends as a Unique Rustic Wood Wine Rack. Unique, unusual and downright awesome nature made decor. I enjoy spending most my time finding unique wood and restoring it into a work of art. Since I’ve lived in Colorado most of my life aspen trees have always fascinated me. I loved to watch them quake in the slightest breeze. It is not only an unusual sight to see but downright awesome. I was so intrigued by this that I began investigating their history. I was amazed how much we have in common. It thrives in adversity. It grows under some of the most difficult circumstances.

While fire destroys most trees, the aspen needs it. The fire causes it to grow and thrive. I can’t help but think and compare that with the fiery trials I have endured. The experience has made me a stronger and, hopefully, a better person. I’m sure you can relate to what I…

I enjoy spending most my time finding unique wood and restoring it into a work of art. Since I’ve lived in Colorado most of my life aspen trees have always fascinated me.

I’m sure you can relate to what I’m saying. Most people are striving just to make it through the tough experiences life deals out to them.

One of the most interesting stories I have ever heard about the aspen is their quaking characteristic. In the 1600’s “the French Canadian woodsmen believed they quaked in fear because the cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified was made of aspen.” Surely, there is some spiritual connection between these beautiful trees and their Creator. There is also the organic connection. Unlike most other trees that have their own singular root system the aspen is interconnected via its root system. There is a grove so large, referred to as Pando, that it stretches over one hundred and six acres and is estimated to weigh in excess of thirteen million pounds. That is just awesome! It is said to be the “most widespread tree in North America”. Tree experts say that the aspen forms a “continuous band between Newfoundland and Maryland in the East”. Then “another between Alaska and Washington state in the West.” “They follow the Appalachian mountains south to Georgia, and the Rocky mountains all the way into Northern Mexico.” Now that is being connected! Talk about family ties and community support! The aspen certainly could teach us a thing or two.

Add to all these amazing facts the incredible beauty of the aspen tree. In my mind there is none that displays such striking characteristics
