The long Bio ____________________________

Self taught, looks good in a beard and (as I like to call myself) a handi-capable artist. I am a professional artist that specializes in the genre and style of Steampunk, as well as the photographer for all the images for AtticRaiders, and have been in the business full-time since 2009.

Despite a physical handicap (I literally make things with one hand), I've been appearing at conventions to sell my work that I've taught myself to make using one hand. Sometimes a bump to the head literally changes your life and for me a major truck accident left me as a permanent hemiplegic, which was the life changing moment that motivated me to work full time as an artist.

Despite the turn on the karma wheel though, It's thanks to your choice to support handmade that AtticRaiders in turn can support the charities that mean so much to me, something I've been doing since my first paycheck in 1997. Supporting handmade work is awesome but AtticRaiders takes it to the next level by proudly donating to the Canadian Mental Health Association each year, all because of you and your choice to support my work. Thank you for helping me help others!

Supporting my local crafting community in a way that's unique and helpful - I teach classes about the materials I work with at local costuming store The Theatre Garage and there you can learn about Worbla, Wonderflex, the basics of leather crafting and more. Check out their website to see when my next class is and come join in the fun!

Whats with the beard comment you ask? AtticRaiders is also an ally to LGBTQIA individuals and folks who simply enjoy dressing in drag. All of the male models you see showcasing my work are, in fact, women dressed up to appear as men ( known as drag kings) in order to help me diversify the gender representation in my shop in a unique way..

Many fun and delightful pictures of my work, can be found through my Etsy shop Attic Raiders, Deviant Art gallery and Facebook page.
