About

As Ani Difranco says in the song Out of Habit, “Art is why I get up in the morning but my definition ends there”.  I live to make art. I graduated from Converse College with my B.F.A in 2008, and have been selling my work and teaching pottery since 2010.

I call Aud Pottery my labor of love because if you have ever done pottery it is not an easy process. It's an art form that takes time, it takes patience, and the process is a love hate relationship! You can't make a mug in a day, but it just makes it more special once it's finally done! I wheel throw or hand build all of my pieces, trim, pull handles, add the finishes touches, glaze, and fire my own work. It is all hand made by my two hands, absolutely no molds!! Two and a half years in a city far far away from home, but now I'm back. Time flew and more than anything my business transformed while living in Salt Lake City, UT. Wow, time flies. I moved from Knoxville, TN, to Salt Lake City, UT, in January of 2014 and back to TN, in March of 2016. I went from being a part time potter to a full time potter in the last two years. Now that we are back near family, my husband and I will be building a house with a place for my studio permanently. I am excited to see where I can go with this adventure with Aud pottery!

When you support me as a small business owner, you enrich my life in ways you will never know. I hope my wares enrich yours!
