If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?
And believe me, I laugh at myself alot!! The older I get the more fun I have. Never thought I would ever say that. I'm more comfortable about making mistakes and realize now that creations don't have to be "perfect". Maybe that little oops actually makes the item better. At the very least I just gave it my fingerprint.

I received the name "auntie fer fer" from my nieces and nephew. For some reason Jennifer was hard for the oldest to say and well fer fer just seemed to fit and so it stuck. When I making my first queen size quilt I wasn't very impressed with myself and was going to quit. It was then that my husband reminded me that I am not a quitter and that everything doesn't need to be perfect to be beautiful. As I shrugged my shoulders I couldn't help but feel as though those words were exactly what I needed to finish. And I did finish it. That "ugly" quilt as I call it keeps us warm night after night. When I walk in the room and see it on the bed I can't help but smile. I realize I am not perfect and my family loves me just the same.
