About

Hello there! My shop is to the right -->

Why do I call my store "AuraofLaura?" Let me just say "welcome to my atmosphere!" I have BA in art education and I love to teach, but recently had the opportunity to follow my heart. My true desire is to make creations of my own and share! I'm constantly educating myself beyond the basics and broadening my art world!

I have a brilliant husband that supports my work and a beautiful daughter with artistic talents of her own. Aside from spending time with my family and friends, my hobbies/interests include: bookmaking, printmaking, drawing, painting, hand-built ceramics, mixed-media, photography, sculpture, teaching, gardening, health/fitness, music, reading, traveling, the outdoors, and fashion. Speaking of, thank God I have hands. The fulfillment that I get from creating--cherished and incomparable. The pleasure of building pottery from beginning to end, is so gratifying. I love the imperfections and charm of hand-built pieces. When bookmaking, I feel like a genuine artisan, constructing and binding from scratch. This is why I love all the work that I create. They're all a slice of my brain, heart, and hands...with love. ;)
