Welcome to my shop!
I’m a 2nd grade teacher and in my “spare” time I love to knit and crochet. When I get home from school, I like to sit and relax with a cup of tea, and my needlework. Recently my students kept asking me to teach them to knit, so on the last day of school we had a learn to knit party, with just as many boys as girls who chose to knit rather than play ball. We sat outside in a big circle and soon had kids from other classes asking if they could learn as well. What fun!

As a high school student living in Nova Scotia my love of needlework began in the 60s when my oldest sister, Marian, crocheted me a beautiful green shawl. She taught me to crochet, which I loved. Later I learned to knit and over the years have found needlework to be an important part of my life. It piques my creativity, soothes my senses and relieves stress.

A couple of years ago I began adding beads to some of my knitting projects and soon fell in love with that medium also. I began making jewelry for friends and family who encouraged me to branch out. What better way to share my love of crafting unique needlework and jewelry than to open a shop on Etsy!

Hope my projects appeal to your senses or maybe even inspire you. Happy shopping!
