About

Hi there and welcome to my profile,

I have been leathercrafting as a hobby for a few years now and in 2010 I decided to take custom orders. This being reasonably successful I took it to the next step in 2012 when my full time job had to lose a few people and I was on the list.

I love the traditional styles of Victoriana and the subsequent designs that gave birth to Art Nouveau and Art Deco. I was a student of art at college many years ago and like to think that I bring that passion into the items I create.

I 'discovered' Steampunk when talking to an artist of the genre, Dr Geof Banyard, at a festival a few years ago. I love the mix of style and practicality that come with it, as well as the elegance that each item was given. Take a look at some of the watches of the Victorian…

Take a look at some of the watches of the Victorian era to see what I am talking about.

Wherever possible I try to build something from the ground up so that it is either unique or rare. If you take a look at Top Hat and Coachmans Hat, I started with a blank piece of squared paper and a tape measure. The same goes for my Steampunk Gauntlets.

Other times I have taken a commercial pattern and made it my own by changing a few fittings here and there. My Belt pouches are a great example of this as I took inspiration from the Militaria of the late 1800's and early 1900's, adding the sam browne studs on the top instead of the front so that the contents in the pouches would not get crushed.

If you have an idea that you would like made into an item, please contact me, and I will give you an honest evaluation and quote.

I am a family man at heart and work from home now, while also performing the duties of 'house husband' and caring for my (at the time of writing) 8 year old son.

I currently live in a town called Purley which is half a dozen miles south of London in the United Kingdom.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to having conversations with many of you :D

Best regards

Adam
